P O If you want to learn more about the LIDO (Lightweight Information Describing Objects) metadata schema, now is your chance again! The NFDI4Culture Consortium's Standards, Data Quality, and Curation Task Area (Task Area 2) cordially invites you to attend a free LIDO training session (online) on April 4, from 9 am to 11 am. In this training we will take a closer look at the representation of events in LIDO. LIDO offers the possibility to represent a) events in the object history such as production, acquisition (lido:eventSet s. https://lido-schema.org/schema/v1.1/lido-v1.1.html#eventSet), b) (historical) events described/presented/mentioned on/in/by an object: (lido:subjectEvent, s. https://lido-schema.org/schema/v1.1/lido-v1.1.html#subjectEvent) or c) events that are related to other events (lido:relatedEventSet, see https://lido-schema.org/schema/v1.1/lido-v1.1.html#relatedEventSet). It is certainly helpful if you already have a basic understanding of LIDO and/or have already participated in a LIDO training course (e.g. on March 7 LIDO training course Document Structure and Element Types). However, you are also welcome to register without prior knowledge if you can accept that you may not understand some things in detail. The event will be held in German. We look forward to a lively participation! If you have any questions, please contact us at: lido-feedback(at)sub.uni-goettingen(dot)de. Training sessions on other LIDO topics are scheduled for March 7, May 2, May 30, from 9-11 am. each day. Speaker The event will be held by Barbara Fichtl from the Lower Saxony State and University Library in Göttingen.
