P O If you want to learn more about the LIDO (Lightweight Information Describing Objects) metadata schema, now is your chance! The NFDI4Culture Consortium's Standards, Data Quality, and Curation Task Area (Task Area 2) cordially invites you to attend a free LIDO training session (online) on November 22 and 23, 2022, from 10 am to 1 pm each day. The event will begin with a one-hour introduction that will provide insight into the history, design principles, structure of a LIDO document, and LIDO application profiles. This introduction can also be booked separately if you do not wish to attend the entire training. Following the introduction, the different information areas, information groups, elements and attributes of LIDO will be presented and deepened by means of examples. You are welcome to bring object datasets from your work area (but this is not a prerequisite). If you have any requests for the training or specific questions about the use of LIDO, please feel free to add them to the registration form. If you want to get as much out of the training as possible, you can - but you don't have to! - You can - but you don't have to! - review the materials listed below in advance and set aside the afternoon of November 22, in addition to the training, for voluntary self-study or small-group immersion.
